COVID-19 Impact Research

  Monitoring & Evaluation

The impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus on jobs and skills across both sectors and countries will be immense. Using our experience in employment and skills research, we are developing methodologies which can be used to assess likely impact in the place of usual primary research methodologies, using expert opinions via social media and blogs, virtual interviews and workshops, and national/international data to build different scenarios which organisations can use to inform their planning.

We are partnering with a labour market economist, Dr Amanda Gosling of the University of Kent at Canterbury, to deliver our coronavirus impact research. Amanda adds expertise in labour economics and applied econometrics to The Research Base's experience in research into education, skills, training and employment.
